We’ll take a journey through the birding year, learning how the changing seasons bring a dynamic cast of species—from colorful spring arrivals to hardy winter residents. You’ll also get practical tips on how to get started, including what to look for, where to go, and how to build your birding skills with confidence. This program will be presented by YCA Board members Britney Fox Hover and Miriam Stevens.
We’ll highlight some of the best local birding hotspots and share insider knowledge to help you make the most of your time outdoors. And if the weather is on our side, we’ll step outside for a relaxed, guided bird walk around the library grounds—putting your new knowledge into practice as we search for feathered neighbors in real time.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or just looking to deepen your appreciation for local wildlife, this program is a great way to connect with nature and discover the birds of York County in a whole new way.
