An Ovenbird at the For All Forever Preserve – photo by Ken Janes

Kennebunk Land Trust’s For All Forever Preserve is a delightful birding spot in West Kennebunk, not far from the Kennebunk Plains.  The 111-acre preserve contains forest as well as wetland areas, fields, and a mile of frontage on the Mousam River.  162 bird species have been recorded there.  You can view a detailed list here:  https://ebird.org/hotspot/L11999614/iconic-birds

Ken Janes, a former YCA Board member, has birded this location more than anyone else and knows it well!  He’s an excellent birder and photographer, and has published two books of his work:

The group will meet at 7;30 am at the preserve parking lot.  The property is located on Webber Hill Road (ME-99) across from the intersection of ME-99 and Wakefield Road.  Limited off-street parking is available at the site.

Beginning birders are most welcome. We will be happy to introduce you to the joy of birding, if you’re new to it. More experienced birders are most welcome as well! Please bring binoculars if you have them, but we’ll have some to lend if you don’t. These walks are provided at no charge and advance registration is not required.
